I have lived in Bucyrus my entire life. I have seen many changes to our community. Some good, some bad. As we look to the future for this city, it is my belief that the current city council, as it stands, is not the best equipped to move this city forward.  Anyone who has either attended or watched a council meeting would agree that it's more of a "business as usual" type meeting more so than "how do we move forward".

It's almost like they are happy to just be treading water, rather than swimming toward the shore.

The way I see it, if you keep conducting the same business with the same people, you'll keep getting the same results. This is what the city has had to endure for years now, and it's time for a change.

I'm sure this scenario if familiar to alot of people. There's a group of people talking about something that just happened in the city. It could be anything. Job loss, a decision that our local government made, a levy, whatever. They discuss the situation, how they could do better, how they would fix it, what they would do differently, then go about their lives, doing nothing about the situation at all. I know I've been in several of those discussions. Then one day, something changed.

Why do nothing??

I'm one of those people who enjoy fixing things. After having one of those conversations described above, I decided that anybody can sit back and complain about things. How difficult can it be to actually step up to the plate, and do something about the situation, rather than just talk about it?? I don't think it's difficult at all. In fact, with the help of the voters in the 4th Ward, I'm willing to show the whole city just how easy it can be. It's time for a change, and I want to be part of it.

By now, you're probably wondering where the typical campaign promises are. I'll start with this. I'll provide a backbone for the taxpayers while I'm on city council. Do you know when the last time was that city council voted not to spend tax dollars on something? Me either. I can assure you that I'm not afraid to say no if I think something is not necessary.

So let's start there, and I'll work on getting a car in every garage, and a chicken in every pot sometime in the future. Thanks in advance for your support, I really do appreciate it.
